Legal
Acceptable Use Policy
These rules apply to everyone on Pet Game Studio: game owners, staff, artists and players. Individual games can add stricter rules of their own.
This page is a working draft. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and is not in force.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Never allowed
- Anything that sexualizes or endangers children.
- Harassment, threats, hate, or encouraging someone to harm themselves.
- Sharing another person's private information.
- Sexually explicit content.
- Anything illegal, or that helps someone break the law.
- Scams, fraud, or tricking people out of their pets, items or money.
Art and writing
- Player-facing art and writing must be made by people. Generated art and generated writing are not allowed in games.
- Only use work that is yours, or that you have a license for.
- Artists must be credited. Do not remove or hide credit.
Playing fair
- One person, one account. Households sharing a connection are fine; tell the game's staff if asked.
- No bots, scripts or automation to play for you.
- No selling pets, items, currency or accounts for real money outside the tools a game provides.
- No exploiting bugs. Report them instead.
Extra rules for game owners
- Real money must never buy a random draw. Odds must be shown wherever premium currency buys a container.
- Keep your game's legal pages, age limit and rules up to date.
- Act on reports. Every game has moderation tools, and you are expected to use them.
- Do not collect player information beyond what the platform already handles for you.
What happens if the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we or a game's staff may warn you, mute you, suspend you, or close your account or game. You can appeal a decision once.
