Art is the hardest part of a pet game, so the platform is built to make each drawing go further.
Layers and colors
A pet is drawn once in layers: a base coat, markings, eyes and line art. The platform colors those layers from palettes you choose. One set of drawings can become hundreds of different pets.
Where art comes from
- The starter set. A hand-drawn set of placeholder art for building and testing. It cannot be used in a game that is open to the public.
- The marketplace. Art packs made by artists, which install into your game in one step.
- Commissions. Post a brief with a budget and hire an artist for something that is yours alone.
- Your own. Upload art you drew yourself.
The rules
All art that players see must be made by a person. Every game has a credits page naming its artists. Read more on the For Artists page.
